Annex II.A. The single administrative document (SAD)
2.A.1. The single administrative document (SAD) is the documentary basis for customs declarations in the European Union and in Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. The single administrative document comprises a set of eight copies. Figure II.A.1 below contains a representation of the first copy, which is the copy retained by the member State/country where the export or transit formalities are carried out.
