Participants are welcome to use any other publicly available datasets as well and combine them with the datasets provided by the organizers.

The only requirement for Datasets used in your projects is that must be publicly and openly available datasets and must be available for free during the period of the UN Datathon. For more information, please see UN Datathon Essentials

The Brazilian Geospatial Data Portal

INDE was created with the purpose of cataloging, integrating and harmonizing geospatial data existing in the Brazilian government institutions, producers and maintainers of this type of data, so that they can be easily located, explored and accessed for the most diverse uses, by any client who has access to the Internet. The geospatial data will be catalogued through their respective metadata, published by the producers/maintainers of such data.

The “Food and Agriculture Microdata Catalogue” contains 1,314 datasets. It provides an inventory of datasets collected through farm and household surveys which contain information related to agriculture, forests, food security, and nutrition. The FAM catalogue is populated by datasets which are collected directly by FAO and datasets whose collection are supported in some way by FAO. Our aim is to be a one-stop-shop containing metadata on all agricultural censuses and surveys which are publicly available as well as provide direct access and/or links to the microdata.

FAO Data in Emergencies Hub

In recognition of the need to better understand the impact of shocks on agricultural livelihoods in food crisis contexts, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) established the Data in Emergencies Information System. Driven by regularly collected primary data in food crisis countries, its objective is to inform decision-making in support of agricultural livelihoods in fragile and shock-prone environments. Since the launch of the DIEM Hub in June 2020, DIEM surveys have been completed in over 30 countries reaching approximately 150 000 households per year. At the center of the DIEM Information System is the DIEM-Monitoring System which performs regular, standardized and frequent household surveys.
